Writing a Rationale (ii)

Feeling fairly confident now, regarding this Rationale, despite an initially unsuccessful day on writing front, i've blasted out a few hundred words in the last few early morning hours.

I aim to conduct some research tomorrow, finish the final draft, and get it applicable with the subject stylesheet,  then do some serious sound editing on Saturday and finally add the rest of the SFX on Sunday.

The slope seems less steep.

Motivation

I woke up late today, in order to avoid a hangover, and spent the rest of the day socialising with friends. Unfortunately, this means i've done no work and now i'm too weary to concentrate...though, coincidentally, I feel switched on enough to watch all the good tv that's on.
I find myself with a decision to make; drink caffeine, try to stay awake and pray I find the will to do work or go to bed so i'll be more alert/productive tomorrow.
I'd much prefer to go to bed but then i'll have done no work all day. I must fight my demons of laziness and try to do a few hundred words before tiredness overpowers me.

There is no excuse for inactivity; success belongs to the doers.

Second sound effect meeting on Sunday and then for the awkward foxtrot with the notoriously troublesome program; Audacity, but, until then, the rationale work continues...sigh.

Writing a Rationale

Well, the fun ends and the beigeness begins. 

Currently one hundred words into a one thousand word 'rationale', which  is essentially a process analysis, explaining why I chose certain locations and names etc, for my script. 

Honestly, this feels so mind-sloshingly tedious that i'm worried that, if I tilt my head, one way or the other, my brain might dribble out of my ear.

Recording a Radio Script

I recorded my script for the first time last night; it was great fun, even if I was doing all the voices, making it sound merely like the manic ramblings of a dopey northerner.

Recording with a team of the most velvet tones tomorrow; it helps to have friends who share your passion for writing.

Writing a Radio Script (iiii)

I took a Writing for Radio module quite by accident, due to module cock-up at my university, however, despite having never written a radio script before, i've thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
As a result, I will definitely be writing more radio scripts in the future and feel this could well be one of the best avenues for my work. 

I certainly have the face for radio.

For future reference, three thousand, seven hundred and seventy words equals (approx) fifteen minutes of Radio Script!

Down to eighteen pages now; getting there. I'm really hoping most of the space has been taken up with special effects, rather than dialogue, so seventeen pages will equal fifteen minutes.
Will cut out a few more lines of pure genius and then have another read through.

Fingers crossed.

Negative Emotion

I've always found negative emotions like bitterness, envy, hate and rage to be great motivators for writing.
Hide them away on an A4 page.

Writing a Radio Script

I've to stick to a maximum of fifteen minutes, of Radio Script, which is roughly fifteen pages. I've written twenty five pages, so that means i've a lot of heart-wrenching cutting to do.

God damn limitations, making me skin my gold.
